Christmas in a Shoebox at "Oaklands Primary School"

As part of their Harvest giving, children, parents and staff have been enthusiastically filling shoe boxes with much needed gifts for vulnerable Romania children.  They also donated a large amount of baby items.  Last week Wayne and I had the blessing of meeting with Caroline Wright, the Headmistress, some of her staff and pupils.  We give thanks for them all and also to the parents for their support.  Choosing items for each box is such a joy.

Caroline and the children (seen here) even helped us load the 81 boxes complete with their pound coins attached to help with transportation costs.   We will bring them feedback from Romania with a set of lovely pictures.

May God Bless You All for your support.

Out of curiosity, how many religious freak denominations are out there?Have you run out of retarded brain washed deluded ignorant folks back home in Wales or UK for that matter? Is there a reason to try to make proselytes in a traditionaly genuine christian country or you simply need sponsors for your trips and try to take advantage of the ignorance of your compatriots?

Why the anonymity? Afraid of repercussions? You do well to hide in the bushes - but let me put you straight. If you saw someone about to step out in front of a truck would you shrug your shoulders or shout "look out!". If you see a widow of 85 looking after her 65 year old blind daughter in a shack devoid of electricity, wood for the stove or food in the cupboard and -20C outside, would you shrug your shoulders or put your hand in your pocket?
R-R operates on a shoestring budget - no one gets paid, trips are personally financed and all sponsorship money and other income is spent in pounds (postage and newsletters for supporters who have no internet, insurance, etc to cover essential bureucratic demands) as do all responsible charitable trusts - but the vast majority is converted into Euros and spent in Romania on basic essentials like wood, food and medicines for children and the elderly that have less state aid per year than it costs me to fuel my car each week.
As for traditionally genuine Christian countries - I'm not sure I know of one, though many have selectively adopted a morality based on Christian values - just because crude is bought with dollars does not mean that America is the only country that buys oil. Look again. The Good Samaritan was not prosthelytizing, he just did what he could for someone who needed help.
BTW, "Clau2002", I will just add that I was appointed to office earlier this year and as part of our "open policy" I will soon publish our accounts (via Website) - so stay tuned! We are not too speedy as most of us have day-jobs too (also being brainwashed slows me down). May God Bless You, and all that read this.
