The Lord's Day and giving thanks for my daughter, Caroline

Today it is Caroline's 37th Birthday  - I am truly blessed to have such a caring daughter and incredible mum to our beautiful grandson, Morgan.  I hope Richard and Morgan are spoiling her today back in Wales.

We had a good rest but I was up like a lark still on Welsh time. Bit frosty - temperature -1 degree centigrade.  Arrived at the Metanoia Church at the oppostie end of the city by 11am. We love this church and it was good to be back among old friends. There was a congregation of around 350 people and this was the second service of the morning!! Incredible worship band who prepared us for the Word from Thessonians II about guarding the Word and false doctrine.
After a brief return to the apartment it was time to set off for Vinga Church set in the heart of a gipsy community.    This is our Church family in Romania and we give thanks that they walk with us in prayer throughout the year.  What growth in the last year!!  The building now has 3 rooms - one for the main service and 2  for Sunday School classes.  All three were full to capacity. As well as a Youth Group and 2 house groups a Church choir is being formed.   Today Jackie lit the second advent candle and spoke on Peace.  It was a powerful Word which touched everyone.

A box of hand knitted hats, scarvesand jumpers kindly donated by a lady in Norfolk were also distributed to the younger Sunday School children present (managed to catch a few on camera opposite).  Afterwards we were invited to a fellowship meal by one of the elders and his family.  Bless them they are a beautiful Christian family that have so little but give so much and we thank God for them.

Home by around 7.30 pm and time for a bit of blogging. Hoping for an early night as we are away by 7 in the morning.
