Its been quite a day - woke early to flakes of snow falling but it did turn to rain before end of day. Had my quiet time before joining Kathleen and Jodie for breakfast. Picked up by 9 am by Peter and we bombed it along sleety roads to Jackie village home. Peter spent the morning sorting the medication whilst I got to work for hours in the back room sorting and writing names on boxes for the first few distributions as well as opening the additional 10 boxes which were donated to us by the transport company!. Jackie heats the whole of her house with wood and I give thanks that there was a fire in the back room. Peace and quiet and got a lot done - then loaded Peter's car with items to be stored in his house. Sometimes people have no idea how much work is involved in this operation both in Wales and Romania but I love it. The photo below is of Little Richy aged 3 helping us sort a huge box of boxed lady bras.
After finishing at Sofronea for the day it was off to the Detention Centre with Bogdan where there are 6 boys and 3 older girls who also live there. Bogdan does weekly ministry visits including crafts etc. It was lovely to see old faces and some new. Tonight we were making and decorating masks after a period of prayer. The children all really enjoyed. One girl had only just been released from 2 weeks in hospital after being hit by a tram. I took the opportunity to really get to know the children before asking them about Christmas. I was amazed how much they knew about the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus. I so enjoyed my time with them and look forward to going back with their Christmas presents. We are not allowed to take pictures at State Establishments.
