A place of extremes

I always said that Romania is a place of extremes.  Here is Maranata Children's home to the right.  This building was fire damaged and after the end of communism Pasta Hada was able to purchase it cheaply and renovated it as a Children's Home.  Along side it is another old state building owned by the communists that has for many years been illegally occupied by poor families.  It transpires that the police have several times evicted the families but as they have no housing they simply move back in.
