The difficult lives of many in this oppressive country

Much of the individuals and families that we have supported alongside Pastor Jackie  have such tragic lives.  This work can be challenging and heartbreaking at the same time.  Before the close of day we visited one lady and her daughter whose 13 year old daughter had just disappeared with an unknown older man.  With all the child prostitution and trafficking that goes on in this country R is in great danger and obviously the matter has been reported to the police.  Over the years we have periodically been involved with this family   It is a tragic story involving mental illness with Jackie recently taking in the 2 girls for 10 weeks whilst also renting an apartment for the family to be reunited in.  Please join us in prayer for the safety of R and that her mother will look to Jesus for her healing and provision.

We also briefly visited M, another 25 year old gipsy girl with multiple medical problems whom Jackie has supported for many years.  Back in 2005 I took M into my home for 3 months to nurse her back to health. At that time she was sleeping in a shed in her sister's back garden.  Up until I left Arad I rented her a room in the home of an old lady's apartment.   Although always to keen to work M is limited in the kind of employment she can find due to the fact that she has had no education - however at the current time she is too sick to work.  We give thanks that Pastor Jackie supports her in her accommodation.
