Lena is in her 80's and lives alone in the remote village of Dude. She is supported via the Widow's Mite Project with a monthly food basket, medication and wood for the winter. She has had a hard life having lost her husband many years ago and also her only son at a young age. Approximately 2 months ago she broke her leg and was hospitalised. Right up until this incident Lena could be found working in the fields to supplement her small pension. Becoming immobile has been a difficult adjustment for her and we give thanks that she has been supported by 2 neighbours. Today we visited with Jackie who has managed to find her a walking frame.
